Gadzooks's Wizardly Rec Hall

Descending the narrow stairs leading into the forecastle of the Gazpacho Soup, you cross through what appears to be a beaded curtain before entering what looks like the insane child of an apothecary, a library, and a bar. Well lit by the shining copper coins the (stingy) magic-user produces and hangs on the walls during his off-days, the mismatched furniture - a beanbag chair? A squat stone bench? The lids of half a dozen chests? - are propped up beside the tables and sagging bookcases filling the cabin. A string of garlic hangs from the ceiling beside clippings of mistletoe, holly, licorice, belladonna, and more herbs you don't actually recognize. Out of the corner of your eye, you briefly spot a wormy tail and a equally wormy tailcoat disappear beneath one of the chest lids. A dwarf tries to sneakily look out from the inside of a chest at you. Clearly he's not hiding well but he thinks he cannot be seen and stares at you, unblinking.

The eponymous occupant can usually be found here between adventures, shuffling between this book and that, occasionally spinning minor cantrips into the air as he completes experiments. He sleeps underneath his hat on his well-loved beanbag chair, resembling a squat, shabby toadstool.

As his contribution to the party, Gadzooks maintained the spellbooks and research library found by the party and stored them in what he insisted was his 'rec room', whatever that is. All books are free for the party to take and use as they see fit as long as they continue to agree to leave the materials in a central place for all spell researchers to use and that they will all their books back to the rec hall in the (extremely unlikely, of course) case of their untimely demise. And that he can crash there, because he's totally good for it.

Unlike the Books of Magic page that lists all books found ever, this lists exactly what spellbooks are on the Gazpacho Soup and can be accessed from Huge Red (or wherever a flying boat might find itself).
